On 111" Thunderstroke engines, these cams can produce 5–8 additional horsepower over the 558 cams when paired with a quality performance exhaust system. They are an outstanding upgrade for riders who want harder acceleration and stronger pull throughout the RPM range.

The 585s are also an excellent choice for 116" Thunderstroke models ridden aggressively and are the recommended camshaft for 121" and 126" Big Bore builds, where they truly shine.
